The bright and beautiful What’s the Scoop ice cream truck started her life as a Mr Whippy van!

The brand Mr Whippy started in the UK in 1968 by an Italian born entrepreneur Dominic Facchino. He started My WHippy with a fleet of specially designed vans equipped with innovative soft serve ice cream machines. The distinctive pink and white vans, along with the jingle they played, became iconic in British culture. 

Mr Whippy expanded to Australia and NZ in the 1960s under a franchise model which allowed for rapid growth and the brand quickly became a household name. While What’s the Scoop was once a Mr Whippy, she’s had a full make over and our master scoopers now serve up the tastiest and most delicious scoop ice cream – available in so many flavours, you’re sure to find one (or two) you love!
